Home Again

I left St Andrews, New Brunswick and spent the next night near Kennebunkport, Maine and the one after that in Scholarie, New York.  On the 3rd day I went to Watkins Glen, NY where one of my brothers and his kids and grand-kids were camping for the weekend.

My brother and his two newest grand-kids.
This is little Jaida.
And this is J, or Jay, or Trey.
And we can’t forget little Raydon. This is a 3 generation photo. Dad, son and grandson.
There’s my niece, Rachel.

The next morning we went on the Waterfall Hike at Watkins Glen. They told me it was about 1 mile.

They didn’t mention the steps. My iPhone said I climbed the equivalent of 20 floors.
I have never been to Watkins Glen so this hike was a pleasant surprise.
There was even one waterfall we could walk behind and under.
It’s hard to pick a favorite photo. This waterfall twists and turns.
The CCC built all these bridges, steps and handrail walls.

The next day I drove to my other brother’s place.  They took me to the Waterford Fair.  This fair is just the right size and length.  All the animals, fruits, vegetables  and home goods were there and you could get through them in one visit.

Jim found a friendly goat.
Someone likes to grow peppers.
They had a whole barn of stressed rabbits. And horses, draft horses, dairy cows, beef cows, goats and sheep. But they didn’t have any poultry.

It took 2 more days of driving to make it home.  But I did it.  All 73 days.  7115 miles, my longest thus far.
