Tennessee

Today’s drive took me though Chattanooga and Nashville.  It’s somewhat mountainous, so it’s noticeably cooler, which I’m thoroughly enjoying.  And I’m more familiar with these kinds of trees and plants and dirt.

To break up the drive, I decided to stop at the Nashville Zoo to see some animals.  I think all of Nashville decided the same.  This zoo reminds me a lot of the Columbus Zoo where you walk so much, and there’s lots of beautiful foliage and vegetation, but you don’t really see very many animals.  But I did get a couple of good shots…

Meerkat… You looking at me?
A clouded leopard. Such a beautiful animal.
The flamingos were so close you could reach out and touch them.
Bamboo forest
It’s a foot bridge.
