Las Vegas

I picked up Katie and the girls at the Las Vegas airport.  This airport isn’t RV friendly.  Terminal 1 arrivals only allowed vehicles under 7 feet.  So I was exited to Terminal 2 arrivals which only allowed 8 foot vehicles and was forced to exit again.  I ended up on a taxi level that thankfully had no cops to shoo me away.  However, it took awhile for Katie and the girls to locate me.

We parked at Circus, Circus and went inside.  An trapeze act was just starting.

We started walking up the street in the 100 degree heat to The Venetian.  We had lunch at The Yardbird which the girls thought so fascinating because we sat on couches in the lounge area.  We rode the gondola and our boatman was a very good singer.

Then we walked up to Paris…

Paris, in Las Vegas.

…then to the Bellagio to watch the fountains.

My favorite are the fountains at the Bellagio. Today it was a slow, jazzy vocal song synchronized with the fountains.

By this time we were all exhausted by the walking and the heat so we headed for the campground.  Since the girls watch a lot of social media they are aware of In-and-Out Burgers, so we stopped there for dinner.  Their burgers were okay, fries were horrible.

A major storm kicked up as we got to the campground.  The wind was blowing so hard and there was lots of lightening, but no rain.  I was afraid it was going to be one of those dust storms.  Side note:  The next night after we left, Las Vegas had a major rainstorm that flooded several of the casinos and washed out the road to our campground.

I’ll leave you with this thought – Celebrate You!
