Columbus OH

I traveled from Tennessee to Columbus, OH.  In Kentucky, road construction delayed traffic so much that Google Maps took me on a detour right through horse country.  It reminded me of all the bike rides I’ve taken through that area. You see lots of thoroughbreds grazing in pastures, miles of double fences, sometimes stone fences, elaborate barns much nicer than most people’s houses, and sometimes even a full horse track.

I’m noticing how much greener everything is compared to Florida.  Florida is green, but definitely not as green as up here.  It’s a different green, soft and delicate as opposed to darker and more olive.  There are so many flower gardens too.  The flowers are so soft and delicate and would never be able to withstand the heat of Florida.

I stayed way outside of Columbus at the Tree Haven Campground in Westerville, OH.  My good friend, Dawn, came the first night with my favorite Columbus treats – Donato’s Founder’s Favorite Pizza and Graters Black Raspberry Chocolate Chunk ice cream.  Heavenly!

I spend the next day with my friends Robin and Vikki, talking and making cards.  I wish I’d have taken more photos of my friends.

Shock – I woke up to 50 degree weather – something I haven’t felt in awhile.
