Chico

We stopped to visit my nephew Mike in Chico.  He showed us Bidwell Park, one of the largest municipal parks in the nation.   He walks his dog here, hikes and rides mountain bikes.

Hiking at Bidwell Park with Sara and Mike.

He took us for a tour of the Sierra Nevada brewing company.

One of the vats used to brew the beer.  This is just the top of the vat.
I wish I could post how good these hops smelled. They arrive in these compressed bales, then are broken up and added to the beer.
I’m concentrating, trying to remember the steps. Didn’t work. The guy behind me is adding sugar to a brew. Sara and Mike.
Last stop was where the beer was canned, packaged, and all those green 6 packs coming down the line to stack on pallets.
Mike’s dog is the Australian Shepherd, Sierra is a German Shepherd/Labrador mix and Sandor is the Schnauzer.
Carter, aka grandpa.
